'Created more for Olympiacos than us' - Spurs fans' scathing Christian Eriksen assessment

Tottenham Hotspur have started their Champions League campaign with a 2-2 draw with Greek side Olympiacos.

A penalty from Harry Kane and a brilliant long range effort from Lucas Moura put Spurs in a commanding position in the match, but Mauricio Pochettino's men were pegged back by the Greek side and had to settle for a point from the game thanks to goals from Daniel Podence and a Mathieu Valbuena penalty.

Christian Eriksen was named in the starting lineup for the game, and played the full 90 minutes. The Danish international will now be at Tottenham until at least January after the summer speculation over his future.

Eriksen's immediate future was still unknown until the closure of the European transfer window at the start of the month. Early in the summer, the player had spoken about his desire to take on a new challenge amid rumours of Real Madrid being interested.

However, a summer move didn't materialise, and the 28-year-old has played a part in every Spurs game this season.

Fans took to social media to give their assessment of Eriksen's performance, and most were not impressed with what they saw. The player failed to make any impact on the game as Spurs struggled to break down a resilient Olympiacos defence towards the end of the game.

Spurs fans didn't hold back in their thought's of the midfielder's performance.

Eriksen will have the chance to make amends for his performance when Spurs take on Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday.
