Create your own Guardian front page

Would you like to be able to make your own Guardian.co.uk front page? I have, it's true, sometimes been allowed to do it, but only under the watchful eye of a boringly professional news editor. Now, though, any user can create a page and fill it with the stories you think matter.

Here, for instance, is a page I built, dedicated to the Mac v PC controversy as it has raged across the Guardian Technology pages and the rest of the paper. Lamentably, it tends rather to the Mac view.

Here's how it works: On any piece of content (that is to say, not just articles, but also videos, podcasts etc), you should see a little "clip this" icon, which looks like a pair of scissors. Clicking on it will add the article (or whatever) to your Guardian scrapbook or clippings file. You need to be logged in to use this, but that's part of the point - we'll keep your clippings file and let you send it to anyone you like.

Now go to your clippings file - once you're logged in, you can find a link right at the top of the homepage. Clicking on the little "edit" link next to any of your clippings will allow you to add it to a collection; essentially, a page you name and organise as you like. Once you're happy, you can take the url for your page and send it to anyone you think might be interested.

Let us know what collections you make - "football writing about clubs outside the big four"? "Positive pieces about Boris Johnson"? "Good recipes"? Just post the link in the comments below.
