Lidl has also revealed its top tips for how to plate up like a polished pro and get the full experience from the comfort of your own home.

FESTIVE FEASTING: LIDL’S TOP TIPS TO PLATING UP AFTERNOON TEA LIKE A PRO

Cut your crusts: Make sure you trim the crusts off your sandwiches to get them looking as neat and uniform as possible – you can always keep the crusts and roast them with some olive oil to make croutons at a later stage!

To each their scone: To avoid controversy and scandal on your polished platter, serve your jam and cream in ramekins to afford your diners the choice of which to slather on first.

Bake It ‘Til You Make It: Serve your scones fresh from warming in the oven to treat your guests (or yourself) to the appealing aroma! Five minutes will do the trick.

The proof is in the pudding!: Provide a good mix of sweet treats – incorporate products like Lidl’s Deluxe Macarons that add a splash of colour to the plate, and include mini mince pies and Deluxe Florentines for a true taste of Christmas.

Festive flair: Use things like icing sugar, mini berries, and sprigs of holly to add some extra magic to your desserts – a little goes a long way!

A perfect pour: The perfect festive finishing touch to your Ritz Replica spread – your champagne. Ensure you tilt your champagne flute 45 degrees when pouring to minimise the foamy head, and pour slowly for a perfect glass.
