Creamfields 2021 fashion highlights as fans party in fancy dress, animal print and sequins

As the bank holiday weekend draws to a close, so does this year's Creamfields Festival.

Today marks the penultimate day of Creamfields Festival 2021 and, just like before the coronavirus pandemic put a halt to events and gatherings, the ECHO has been at the site spotting music fans making the most of the return to normality.

The government's roadmap out of lockdown saw all restrictions lifted on July 19 and the return of festivals has been most welcome - with Creamfields 2021 selling out across all four days.

Acts including Tiesto, Alesso, Faithless, Yousef, Camelphat and more will perform today, Sunday, August 29.

Our photographers have been snapping both individuals and groups showing off their outfits - and after months with nowhere to go, people revelled in the opportunity to get dressed up.

Here are the trends we've spotted at Creamfields this year:

Bold prints

Festivals are the perfect environment for wearing bold, bright colours and celebrating in a crowd of like-minded people.

Many Creamfields attendees sported bold prints and colours at this year's festival.

Fans

Though we've had an unpredictable and often unreliable summer this year, the sun shone brightly at Daresbury with soaring temperatures.

Some savvy festival goers made sure they could keep cool in style with the inclusion of large fans.

If you can't have fun with your outfit at a festival, when can you?

Many Creamfields guests showed up in fancy dress this year - there were pals decked out as the Minions from the Despicable Me franchise while others opted to channel the 70s with retro patterned flares and another group wore matching pink fur-trimmed cowboy hats.

Co-ords

Co-ords were a firm favourite at Creamfields 2021 (Jason Roberts photography)

A co-ord is a popular fashion choice, with patterned suits, matching gym wear sets and more popping up in high street favourite stores all year round.

For Creamfields, many party-goers chose vibrant, on-trend co-ords to make a fashion statement.

Animal print

You can't go wrong with animal print and many festival attendees proved it by sporting stylish animal print dresses, tops, shorts and more.

From zebra print to leopard print, Creamfields guests embraced their wild side.

Sequins

Well, it wouldn't be a proper festival without sequins, would it?

Wearing sequins ensures you'll always stand out in the crowd at any festival.
