Crazy scenes in Tallaght Stadium as Shamrock Rovers crowned League of Ireland champions

There were crazy scenes in Tallaght Stadium as Shamrock Rovers were crowned league champions.

Stephen Bradley's side have been runaway league leaders throughout the season on Friday night they were officially crowned champions.

Taking on Finn Harps, Shamrock Rovers stepped up to the occasion and easily dispatched the Donegal side.

And it was Danny Mandroiu that was the hero on the night as he scored two first half goals.

The former Bohemians forward opened the scoring in the fourth minute and doubled his tally 20 minutes later as Tallaght was rocking throughout the night.

And a further late goal from Aidomo Emakhu kickstarted celebrations.

And there were jubilant scenes at the end of the game as home supporters stormed the pitch to congratulate their side.

Last year ended Shamrock Rovers' nine year wait to win another League of Ireland trophy after a condensed season and silenced any doubted with their triumphant season.
