Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rachel Bloom in London: Musical star announces extra date at the Palladium

Hit musical series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator and star Rachel Bloom has announced that she will be bringing her first ever headline show to London.

The Golden Globe winner will give two performances at the London Palladium on June 2 and 3, having added a second due to high demand. She will be accompanied by her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-songwriter and music producer Adam Schlesinger.

Bloom will treat audiences to songs from the musical TV series, as well as her own stand-up and original material.

Tickets go on sale on Friday April 12 at 10am.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which debuted in 2015, follows the story of Rebecca Bunch – played by Bloom – a New York lawyer who quits her job when she bumps into a guy she dated at summer camp and follows him to his hometown of West Covina, California.

The series, which reached its emotional end last week after four seasons, dismantled the “crazy ex-girlfriend” trope often seen in romantic comedies, while also tackling mental illness stigmas through the medium of musical theatre. Hit songs include ‘You Stupid B****’, ‘Don’t Be A Lawyer’, ‘Let’s Generalize About Men’ and ‘The First Penis I Saw’.

Bloom and the lead cast are currently performing a run of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend live shows around the US.

Tickets can be bought directly from the theatre’s website, lwtheatres.co.uk
