A thug armed with two knives tried to get into a young woman's car while she was stopped at traffic lights in north Dublin.
The terrified health care assistant in her 20s was pulled up at the junction at Dunnes Stores in Finglas when the crazed man approached the vehicle from behind.
The armed attacker pointed one of the knives at her and tried to open her car, which was locked, before attempting to break the window.
Scared for her life, the young woman fled the scene immediately and went straight to the nearest Garda station, where she reported the frightening incident.
She told Dublin Live: "I’m a health care assistant, I do home care and I was going to my last house call.
"I was stopped at the traffic lights and a man comes from behind my car pointing a knife at me.
"He tried to get into my car and almost broke my window. When he did that, I just drove off as quickly as I could.

"If I hadn’t locked my doors, I don’t know what would’ve happened.
Giving a description of the man, she said: "He’s about 5ft 10 I’d say, dark hair and was armed with two knives and a school bag.
"I have given the description of the individual to Gardai and they’re looking into it also."
She warned locals: "I have received texts from other people saying they've seen him too so please, please be careful everyone."
Dublin Live understands that Gardai are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed the attack to come forward.
