There were frightening and shocking scenes in north Dublin last night as an alleged garda arrest video emerged after reports of a horror attempted attack.
It is alleged that an attacker followed two young women wielding a hatchet and also reportedly tracked another young girl home and tried to break into her house.
Following these reports, scandalous videos emerged of one man allegedly being nabbed by Gardai in the area.
Footage shows the arrested man smiling at the camera as he entered the squad car cheekily asking officers detaining him if they were going to 'put him in the car sometime today or not'.
One of the girls who claimed that she was followed by the alleged attacker was shaken after the incident.
She said: "My friends and I got followed by a man in the area from a well-known pub and he had a hatchet in his hand.
"Gardai said that a girl was also followed home in the area by someone with an axe and that he tried to break into her house using it.
"I'm just sharing this to warn everyone to be careful in the area especially when walking alone.
