This smashed up car was abandoned on the hardshoulder of a motorway after it was stolen in a burglary.
Officers posted photos of the 4x4 vehicle after it was left on the A627M near Oldham.
The police dog unit were deployed to find those responsible, according to a tweet by North West Motorway Police.
In the post, officers said the incident caused delays in the area.
The tweet, put up at 6am today (Monday) said: "Vehicle stolen by burglary early this morning found crashed on A627M near Oldham.
"Offenders had run off prior to arrival of police, caused a few hold ups due to our trusted canine colleague out searching the surrounding area."
