The Masked Singer Finale Is Here So Let’s Revisit Every Celeb They’ve Revealed So Far

The Masked Singer Australia 2023 — or as I like to call it, Aussie TV’s interpretation of an acid trip with random celebs — has officially reached its grand final, so we’ve wrangled up all the masks that have been revealed so far.

If you’ve never tuned into The Masked Singer, it is a reality TV game show where a panel of judges attempt to guess the celebs who are hiding under extravagant masks.

In Australia’s version of the show — and this year’s season — our gorgiana judging panel consists of Mel B, Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan and Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes. And of course, we can’t talk about The Masked Singer without mentioning the host — the master. of ceremonies if you will — Osher Günsberg.

Although I’ve continuously joked about the show, describing it as a televised “acid trip”, I am quite sad that it’s come to an end. We love a game of Guess Who, and this is just a giant version of that.

In celebration of Snow Fox’s victory in this year’s Masked Singer and all the wackiness it’s blessed us with, here is a list of all of the celebs who’ve been revealed in this year’s season.

Crash Test Dummy

Crash Test Dummy was, unfortunately, the first one to get the boot in 2023 for The Masked Singer Australia.

Prior to the big reveal, the mask was touted as a “Hollywood Superstar”.

He was then revealed to be 90210 and Desperate Housewives actor Brian Austin Green.

In a post-reveal interview with Masked Singer host Osher Günsberg, Green said that his early departure from the show was “bittersweet”. He also revealed that he was in Australia with his Aussie fiancé Sharna Burgess, while she judged Dancing With The Stars.

Fawn

The following week, Fawn was the second mask to have their identity revealed to the keen Aussies who tuned in.

After what felt like 50 years of tugging and pulling, Fawn was revealed to be Aussie icon and media personality Sandra Sully.

“You are the most serious person we’ve ever had on this stage,” Günsberg said after she revealed her identity.

Sandra then went on to explain that reading the news can be really full-on and that doing something like this was an opportunity to have a bit of fun.

“I get emotional thinking that I’ve actually done this,” she said, holding back the tears.

Bad Avocado

The whole nation was shooketh to the core after Bad Avocado was revealed to be Summer Warne, the daughter of late Australian sporting legend Shane Warne.

The reason why she joined the show honestly had me all torn up!!! In her post-reveal interview, Summer explained that her father loved listening to her sing.

“He loved that I would sing and my whole life I’ve just wanted to do that sort of thing. He was always like ‘you’ve gotta do it Summer, you’ve gotta do it’ and I was always too scared,” she explained.

“But with this, I had his voice in my head, and I want to make dad proud.”

Bluebottle

Bluebottle was Hhghkey one of my favourite masks of this year’s season, despite being deathly scared of the real things. I remember one time lifeguards made an announcement about bluebottles on the beach and I jumped into an esky to hide.

Anyways, back to the show, in episode four Bluebottle was revealed to be The Block‘s Shaynna Blaze. Swan initially guessed that Bluebottle was Blaze, but decided to change her guess.

In her post-reveal interview, Blaze reflected on her Masked Singer journey and how it empowered her to take up singing again.

“[Singing] was something I squashed for a long time, but now it’s time to bring the vocal cords back out again,” Blaze said.

Space Fairy

This one definitely had me screaming at my screen!!!

Space Fairy was revealed to be the one and only Charlotte Crosby who we previously predicted to make an appearance on the show.

After her reveal, the Geordie Show star said she was supposed to appear on the show during the pandemic but she was unfortunately quarantined in a hotel room for a month.

“Spending a month by yourself in a hotel room, I learned so much about myself,” she began.

“That actually changed my life”.

Tiny

The cheeky little creature that looks like a yassified version of one the monsters from Where The Wild Things Are was revealed to be Aussie Musician Pete Murray.

In that episode, numero six if you wanna rewatch, Swan was the only one to get this guess correct!

Murray told the judging panel that he “immediately fell in love” with the mask he was given for the show.

“It kind of felt like it was me. I love cuddles and just being friendly to people and I wanted to hug all of you guys,” Murray said.

Burger Gal

Arguably one of the biggest guests to appear on the show!!!

The ~juicy~ but cute-looking mask known as Burger Gal was revealed to be La Toya Jackson, who is the sister of the beloved Michael Jackson.

Instead of Swan, our fave Spice Girl Mel B scored with her guess!

In her post-reveal interview, Jackson cheekily slammed her costume.

“It is extremely heavy for me,” she said.

“And I don’t know why i’m in this because I don’t even eat meat.”

Jackson was also confirmed to be the grammy-winner the show has been touting since the start of the season.

Orca

Now, this guess definitely goes out to the 2010s babies.

In episode eight, Orca was revealed to be Amy Sheppard from the Aussie Band, Sheppard, who is responsible for the hated loved song, “Geronimo”.

Unfortunately, no one guessed right for this Aussie muso!

The Captain

The Captain, which was a giant boat in a suit but kinda looked like a maxi pad, was revealed to be AFL legend Brendan Favola.

Although Favola’s run on the show was extremely short — he was a wildcard mask for episode nine and was dumped in the same one — it looked like he had a lot of fun.

“I’m guessed every year. My Instagram and Twitter goes nuts, saying this is 100 per cent you, so I thought I’d finally come in as a wildcard, a firecracker, and bring the party,” Fevola said in his post-reveal interview.

Cow Girl

Another sweet, sweet reveal. Or should I say, Ru-veal.

Cow Girl was revealed to be the one and only Courtney Act on episode ten of The Masked Singer — who we also predicted earlier on, FYI.

(Image source: Channel Ten / The Masked Singer Australia)

During her post-review interview, Courtney touched on the hate she received after she was reading to children on ABC.

“The haters are an extremely small minority and that resoundingly, myself, drag performers, LGBTQ+ people are loved and supported by everyone in our community,” Courtney said.

Our Final Three, which includes Grim Reaper, Bouncer and Snow Fox, are about to be revealed tonight alongside the winner of this year’s season.

My money is on Grim Reaper.

You can catch The Masked Singer on Channel Ten or re-watch the previous episodes and seasons on 10Play.
