A crash on the M8 at Charing Cross has led to the closure of a lane and delays to traffic , as dozens of Scots make their way home for Christmas.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the smash in Glasgow city centre at 12.40pm this afternoon, on the M8 westbound at junction 18 Charing Cross to Anderston Cross, leading to the closure of the lane.
An image posted on the Traffic Scotland Twitter account appears to show a collision between a lorry and a car, with police on the scene.
Traffic is queuing back to junction 16, Traffic Scotland say.
Police Scotland confirmed to Glasgow Live: "It happened at 12.30pm. There were three vehicles involved. There doesn't appear to be any serious injuries."
UPDATE 1.35pm: Traffic Scotland confirmed the incident has now cleared and traffic is back up and running again.
