Crash on junction of Dumbarton Road and Queen Victoria Drive leads to traffic light outage

A crash at the junction of Dumbarton Road and Queen Victoria Drive has led to a traffic light outage in the Scotstoun area.

Glasgow City Council issued a warning to drivers following the earlier collision.

They say lights will remain off until the damaged equipment can be removed and replaced, with contractors currently on site to fix the issue.

Details of the crash are unknown at this time. Police Scotland were contacted by Glasgow, but unable to provide comment.

A statement issued by Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management team this morning advised: "The traffic signals on Dumbarton Road at Queen Victoria Drive are currently off due to an earlier road traffic collision.

"These lights will remain off until affected equipment can be removed and replaced.

"Contractors are on site dealing with this and further updates will be issued as works progress.

"Please exercise caution approaching this junction."
