Crash leaves truck overturned blocking road in both directions

Emergency services were called out to an overturned truck which blocked Nottingham Road in Lowdham last night.

Police were called to the crash at around 8pm on Saturday, October 10. Motorists and bus users were delayed as a result of the crash as the road was closed.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and Nottinghamshire Police attended the scene.

Last night, a spokesman for the fire service said at 8pm, Bingham station crew were called to a road traffic collision in Nottingham Road in Lowdham.

The road was closed in both directions while they dealt with the incident. The fire service called on motorists to avoid the area.

Nottinghamshire Police were also in attendance.

Nottingham City Transport said the incident happened on the A612 near the Lowdham roundabout.

Pathfinder 26 was forced to divert in both directions and could not serve Burton Road (Florence Road area), Stoke Lane, Burton Joyce or Bulcote.

Buses were using Shearing Hill, Lambley Lane, Lambley, A6097 in both directions.

Nottinghamshire Live is waiting for a response from Nottinghamshire Police about the incident.
