Crash involving rubbish truck in Canberra's north causing delays

Two people have been assessed for injuries after a rubbish truck and another vehicle collided in Dickson on Thursday morning.

Emergency Services ACT received a report of the crash on the corner of Antill and Gale Streets about 6.40am on July 9.

ESA said the truck driver was uninjured, but the driver and passenger of the other vehicle were being assessed by paramedics for minor injuries.

As of 7.30am, emergency services were still working to clear the crash site, with the rubbish truck still partially on top of the vehicle.

ACT Policing will attend the scene to direct traffic.

Motorists should avoid the area.

More to come.
