A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car in Stockport .
The crash happened on Greek Street at about 6.45pm on Thursday.
The road has been taped off between A6 Wellington Road South and Shaw Heath Roundabout.
It is unclear at this stage whether the motorcyclist's injuries are life-threatening.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We were called to the scene at 6.45pm.
"It was a crash between a car and a motorbike.
"Ambulance and police are at the scene. The male motorcyclist suffered serious injuries."
TfGM tweeted about the incident, saying: "Due to a road traffic collision Greek Street in Stockport is closed in both directions between A6 Wellington Road South and Shaw Heath Roundabout.
"Please use an alternative route."
