Police have launched a witness appeal following a serious crash between a tipper truck and a car.
The collision left the tipper truck crashing onto the grass verge and the driver having to be rescued by the fire service.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and the truck had to be recovered, leaving Clevedon Road in Failand to be closed for five hours.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw either vehicle - which is a Man tipper truck and a grey Renault Kadjar – prior to the collision.
They also appeal for anyone using this road around the time of the incident to check any dash cam footage.
