A female cyclist was taken to hospital this morning after being hit by a bus in the centre of Ayr.
The incident took place around 8am close to Burns Statue Square.
A police spokesman said: “We received a report of a crash involving a bus and a cyclist on Alloway Street, Ayr, around 8.05am on Wednesday, 30 September, 2020.
“The female cyclist was taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment.
“The road was re-opened after an hour and a half.”
