A major road in Armley is blocked in both directions after a head-on crash, causing severe delays in the surrounding areas.
There are long delays around the A647 Stanningley Road near Armley Park, Armley, following a crash between A white Fiat 500 and grey Renault Megane just after 12.30pm.
The two drivers involved have been taken to hospital for treatment. It is not yet known if they have suffered serious injuries.
Police have closed the road in both directions and are investigating the crash, which happened outside Elite Remaps on Stanningley Road, Armley.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said they were called to the scene at 12.39pm.

The crash has also caused delays along Town Street, Armley, and the road closure has caused huge delays at the Stanningley Road/Armley Road crossroads in Armley.
Our reporter at the scene said Branch Road traffic was crawling along ‘at a snail’s pace’, and queues on Armley Road are stretching back to the Armley Gyratory.
