Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a major crash just outside the city centre.
Motorists are being warned of delays on a busy stretch of road leading to the southside as a result.
An accident which took place outside the O2 Academy has led to the route being blocked in both directions this morning (Thursday).
The incident happened on the A77, at the junction of Eglinton Street, Cook Street and Bedford Street, near Bridge Street station.
The condition of those involved is unknown at this time.
Congestion is building in the area and drivers are asked to follow diversions, if they can't plan an alternative journey.
A statement from council road traffic officers reads: "Due to a road traffic collision at the junction of Eglinton Street / Cook Street / Bedford Street, there will be road restrictions in place surrounding this junction until further notice. Emergency Services are in attendance and road users should follow their direction .
"Drivers are advised to avoid this location where possible.
"Further Bulletins will be issued as more information becomes available."
