Did a friend of missing country singer Craig Strickland have a premonition that something was going to go wrong when they set off on a duck hunting trip.
Police in Oklahoma are desperately searching searching for the 29-year-old member of country band Backroad Anthem, who disappeared after going duck hunting. He had been accompanied on the trip by a friend, Chase Marland, who was found dead on Monday.
“At approximately 11.10am Trooper Humdy and Trooper Vann recovered one subject, Chase Marland, a 22 year old male from Van Buren, Arkansas, from Kaw Lake,” a spokesperson from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety said in a statement.
The news came just days after Mr Marland sent a tweet, seemingly foreshadowing their fate.
He wrote: “In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.”
Backroad Anthem posted an update on Monday evening, saying the search had been called off for the night.

It added: “Everyone please say special prayers for the family of Chase Morland. They were very close friends and it is such a heartbreaking loss.
“Randy Strickland has informed us Craig has not been found. Please keep praying for his safety.”
Authorities said they would resume the search in the morning.
