The Strictly Come Dancing curse strikes in normal circumstances, so with this year’s contestants “bubbling up” with their dance partners to comply with social distancing... well, what could possibly go wrong?
The stars will isolate at a hotel for a fortnight before filming to adhere to quarantine guidelines, before starting work at the studio.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood, right, insists the pairings won’t be any more “intense”. “Haha, sadly not,” he chuckles. “As they won’t be living with each other.
“The rule is the dancer can go back to their home, and the celeb to either their home or a hotel.”
They can do that normally, but some – like Seann Walsh and Katya Jones – still get seen snogging in the street.
With Bruno Tonioli committed to filming, guest judges are likely to fill in, Craig tells Best magazine.

“Desperate times call for desperate measures,” he says. “We’re lucky to be getting Strictly on the road at all. People need Strictly – and it’s happening – come hell or high water.”
Dua Lipa teams up with Madonna and Missy Elliot
The long-reigning Queen of Pop is teaming up with pop princess Dua Lipa for a new single.
Dua said it was a “dream come true” as she announced she had collaborated with her “idols” Madonna and rapper Missy Elliot on a remix of her song Levitating, out next month.

It comes just a month after Dua’s manager said he was drafting an email to ask Madge if she wanted to team up with the singer. Madonna clearly wasted no time replying.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston anniversary
Today marks an important anniversary in pop cultural history – the starting point of a two decade-long showbiz saga.
It’s 20 years since the day Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston married, cementing them as Hollywood’s golden couple... for five years.
They split after Brad met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.

As the new couple flaunted their relationship, Jen admitted she felt “lonely, upset and confused” and observed her ex-husband had a “sensitivity chip missing” – sparking a decade’s worth of glossy magazine covers po ring over the intimate details of their love triangle. Our interest levels never waned. Shortly after Brangelina split in 2016 (their £300million divorce is yet to be finalised), Jen’s second marriage to Justin Theroux ended.
The two single stars sharing a hug was the standout moment of this year’s SAG Awards – and, given how the rest of the showbiz events calendar panned out, remains a celebrity highlight of 2020.
So happy anniversary, everyone. Here’s to the next 20 years.
