Goalkeeper Craig Gordon insists Scotland played better against Austria than in stunning France in 2007.
Lyndon Dykes netted the only goal in Vienna to deal a hammer blow to Austria’s World Cup hopes and move Steve Clarke 's men into the playoff spot.
Veteran Gordon, who started between the sticks in the 1-0 Euro 2008 qualifier win in Paris, reckons the result against Austria tops the lot.
He told Sky Sports: "That was huge for us.
"A great performance away from home. We knew we really needed to get something from the game, but to take the three points was huge for us in the group.

"I felt comfortable and the guys in front of me were superb all night. They were chucking their bodies in front of me when they had to and limited them to very few opportunities, and the one that came through I managed to stop. So from my point of view it was a fairly quiet evening.
"It's a credit to to the guys in front who were brilliant all night.
"I think we played a lot better than we did that night in Paris and we kept the ball at times and created chances, and on another night could have scored a few more goals.
"We kept the clean sheet and it's going to be massive going forward. There were great performances all over the park and that's what you need to win away from home."
The Hearts goalkeeper insists he can keep on playing for his country - as long as the backline keeps teams quiet like they did against Franco Foda's side.
He said: "I'll try and hang on as long as possible, and if that back five can keep me as quiet as that I can hang on a bit longer."
