Craig Doyle issues 'last' announcement on ITV's This Morning

This Morning's Craig Doyle issued a "last" announcement during his final show of the week on Thursday.

The 52-year-old has joined Holly Willoughby to front the popular daytime programme all this week as a mix of stars take on the role in the wake of the Phillip Schofield scandal. Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary continue to host the show on Fridays, as normal.

On Thursday, Craig confirmed it was the "last" time they'd play Spin to Win on the show until September. The game sees callers win a range of prizes as the wheel is spun.

As Craig was promoted to host the show, albeit temporarily, the Irish TV star's management Crown Talent Management shared on social media: "@craigadoyle will be joining @hollywilloughby for two weeks on @thismorning! Catch them week days at 10am on @itv from Next Monday."

Craig shared the statement on his Instagram page and wrote: "Enjoying being part of the family", Birmingham Live reports.

Craig has hosted a huge array of shows on Irish Network channel RTÉ, as well as his other work commitments with channels including BBC, ITV, and BT Sport. He even had his own chat show on RTÉ One back in 2010 called Tonight with Craig Doyle, as well as RTÉ Two’s Craig Doyle Live, which ran from 2011 to 2013.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX
