St Johnstone are set to have a deal for former Scotland international Craig Conway tied up for the weekend.
The 35-year-old has been training with the Perth club and has picked up bounce game minutes ahead of Saturday’s Premiership start at Dundee United.
Conway, most recently of Salford City but who also has previous experience with Blackburn and Cardiff, has impressed manager Callum Davidson.
And the winger could even be available for the curtain-raiser at Tannadice.
His ability on the park is the obvious selling point but Perth management also see Conway’s experience being crucial for younger members of the squad.
