The boy recently hurt his leg while playing on a trampoline with his friends.

11-year-old Nathan hopped on his hoverboard to mow the lawn for his mam (Liz Robertson)

The innovative Scot came up with the cunning plan to hop on his hoverboard to make himself useful while his mam captured the whole thing on camera.

She said in a post on Facebook: "When you have a sore leg but still want to cut mums grass... omg couldn't believe what I was seeing... Where did I get him.. xx"

She told PA: "He was saying his leg was sore but he still wanted to help me.

"I told him just to leave it but the next minute I was just cooking breakfast and I looked out and he was going up and down the garden on a hoverboard cutting grass.

"I couldn't believe it. I was like, 'What is he doing?'"

Robertson's post of her son on Facebook has picked up thousands of views with hundreds of her friends praising the young boy in the comments.
