Crack cocaine, cash and illegal knives uncovered after police chase

Drugs, knives and a huge wad of cash were uncovered at a house in Litherland after a police chase.

A man and a woman were arrested on Wednesday, after officers tried to stop a vehicle and the driver was found in possession of a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin.

During a later search of a house on Ford Lane, around £9,000 in cash was uncovered, as well as a large amount of cannabis, and illegal blades.

Paul Campbell, 42, of Nunsford Close, was charged with a string of offences, including possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, and possession of criminal property.

He was also charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

The woman who was also arrested has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
