NEW DELHI: Nearly 10 days after it emerged that former JNU Students Union chief and CPI member Kanhaiya Kumar is likely to join Congress.
It is learnt that Gujarat leader Hardik Patel is playing a key role in the move.
Sources said Patel, who is the working president in Gujarat Congress, has been instrumental in pushing the case of Kumar in Congress, besides poll strategist Prashant Kishor.
Kumar is said to have met Rahul Gandhi a couple of times last month.
