CPI(M) flag procession gets under way

A relay procession carrying the flag to be hoisted at the 23rd Party Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] to be held in Kannur from April 6 to 10 began the journey from the martyrs’ memorial at Vayalar here on Friday.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau member M.A. Baby handed over the flag to State secretariat member and procession captain M. Swaraj.

Fisheries Minister and CPI(M) State secretariat member Saji Cherian presided. CPI(M) leaders C.S. Sujatha, C.B. Chandrababu, R. Nazar, A.M. Ariff, MP, P.P. Chitharanjan, MLA, H. Salam, MLA, and others were present.
