Accountancy firm Cowgills has opened a new office in Liverpool to house its business recovery team.
The firm said the new site on Chapel Street in the city centre will be led by partner John Dean, who will be joined by Peter Ainsworth as assistant manager.
The news comes just months after Cowgills’ acquisition of the business recovery arm of Manchester based accountancy RPG, and takes the business recovery team to four partners, four directors and 11 staff.
Cowgills partner and head of business recovery Jason Elliott said: “John and Peter bring a huge amount of experience to the team and their professionalism and local knowledge will be key to helping us build our new Liverpool office.
"This investment and expansion into Liverpool further underlines our intent to be a market leader in the north west restructuring sector as the country slowly begins to reopen and I look forward to welcoming them to the team.”
Cowgills said its Business Recovery department had seen "unprecedented levels" of support required for businesses during the Covid pandemic, and is gearing up to provide advice right across the region for struggling companies.
The team will work with Cowgills from both its Bolton and Manchester city centre offices.
