Less than two minutes into the game, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo injured his back on a tackle by the Seahawks' Cliff Avril during Thursday night's game at Seattle.
On the third play of the game, Romo began to scramble then made a move to slide down when he was hit from behind Avril and landed awkwardly on the tackle. He stayed on the ground for a while holding his back. He left the game at the 13:23 mark and was replaced by Dak Prescott.
While on the sideline, the team physicians appear to be working on his back. He was later seen doing stretching exercises on the sideline.
The Cowboys drive ended a few plays with a punt.
Prescott remained at quarterback on the next possession and led the Cowboys to a 7-0 first quarter lead.
Romo was on the bench wearing a baseball cap.
There has been no official diagnosis from the Cowboys.
