PITTSBURGH _ Dallas Cowboys veteran quarterback Tony Romo won't be active for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, the team announced.
Romo went through a full week of practice for the first time since sustaining a compression fracture in his lower back in late August. He has no limitations, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said earlier this week.
But the Cowboys are sticking with Dak Prescott as the starter and Mark Sanchez in the backup role for now.
Other inactives for the Cowboys include defensive backs Morris Claiborne (groin) and Barry Church (right forearm); swing tackle Chaz Gren (foot); linebacker Mark Nzeocha; running back Darius Jackson; and defensive end Benson Mayowa.
