FRISCO, Texas _ Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee hasn't practiced this week as he deals with a knee injury, but coach Jason Garrett doesn't believe this is a long-term issue.
Lee underwent an MRI on Monday, and Garrett said the results were "positive" in a good way for Lee and the Cowboys.
"We don't think it's long term," Garrett said. "He's making progress to come back and hopefully he's going to be able to do that sooner rather than later. Any practice he does today will be on a limited basis."
Lee, who had arthroscopic knee surgery in the offseason, played in 18 snaps in the first half in last Thursday's preseason game at Seattle. He went through rehab work on the side Tuesday during the early portion of practice open to the media.
Lee, 30, is coming off a career year in which he earned his first Pro Bowl trip. He led the team with 156 tackles, according to the coaches' breakdown, with 2{ sacks, six pressures, five breakups and an interception.
Lee started 14 games last season, and has yet to a play a full 16-game season in his career.
