Wondering why Tony Romo’s name was trending on Twitter at the same time as Jason Witten, who decided to leave the Monday Night Football booth after just one season?
It’s partially because there were some comparisons between the two Cowboys who left football to join the broadcasting world (to varying degrees of success). There were some “Romo predicted this would happen!” jokes about Witten re-signing with Dallas.
But there were a lot of people who wanted to see Romo come back too, despite the fact that Dak Prescott is their starter (also, it would rob the world of Romo’s on-air talents).
