It’s science! Cowboys fans are the best fans in the NFL. Fine, it’s not science it’s a study done by a professor at Emory. If you want to gain a further understanding of how these scores were reached check here.
One would think that winning helps, but the best team in the AFC — by regular season record — the Chiefs, rank second to last. The NFC Super Bowl representative, the Los Angeles Rams, were dead last. Other cities one would expect to score highly such as the Bills or Browns were middle of the pack.
There are a ton of national teams ranked highly such as the Cowboys, Giants, Steelers, Packers, Bears, and Broncos are high on the list even though the only team to win a Super Bowl even recently from that group is the Broncos. The Patriots score may be inflated because of their recent run. The top-five remained unchanged from a year before and if you look at the table, there isn’t really much movement year to year.
