Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Nolan hears the criticisms. He just doesn't have time to listen.

The Cowboys defensive performance the past two games has quieted the criticism of Mike Nolan.

For now. But the defensive coordinator is aware of what has been said about a group that's allowing more points than any team in the league.

"As you get older, you get a little more mature to it, I believe," the 61-year old Nolan said. "And then the other side of it is when you're getting ready for a new opponent each week, you really don't listen to a whole lot on the outside. You don't have time to listen.

I do believe that, having some peers, I know that when they listen to different things, they get pretty disappointed. But like I said, if you just keep going to the next week and try to improve, you don't hear much of it.

"You know, it's said when you're not doing well, you don't need someone to tell you you're not doing well," he continued. "Believe me, I can tell you sooner than you can tell me. That's just part of it.

"You take the good with the bad. The highs are really high, and sometimes the lows, you've just got to make sure they don't take you down."
