Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis has the perfect Twitter comeback for Dolphins lineman

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis presented Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Davon Godchaux with the ugly truth on Twitter on Sunday.

Godchaux took a moment to celebrate an individual victory from an otherwise brutal, 31-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. On one particular snap, Godchaux managed to beat Cowboys center Travis Frederick to log a tackle on Ezekiel Elliot, who still managed to gain a few yards on the play. It wasn’t much to celebrate, frankly, but Godchaux took a victory lap on Twitter: “If they are the best oline, then what am I?”

“0-3,” Lewis responded.

It’s a good point, even if its ruthlessly blunt. And perhaps, it’s what Godchaux should have expected.

Maybe Godchaux — and the defeated Dolphins — need an opportunity to see the positive. That’s totally fair. Sports should be fun, and it’s hard to imagine the Dolphins are having much of it. I don’t want to condone meanness. But let’s be real: Twitter isn’t a place where downtrodden individuals can find uplifting messages. Godchaux didn’t deserve to get shot down while celebrating a good play — he also probably should have have seen this coming.
