The charges come after the 40-year-old made false representations to his victims that building work would be carried out, YorkshireLive reports.

The offences took place between September 9, 2019, and October 8, 2021, in various locations across West Yorkshire.

They include Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Otley, Dewsbury and Wakefield, as well as Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Priestley, of no fixed address, is currently on remand and is set to be sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on March 25.
