Cow shuts M4 near Prince of Wales Bridge

Part of the M4 westbound was closed by police after a cow ended up on the road.

The area, near the Prince of Wales bridge, has been temporarily shut while officers deal with the obstruction.

Gwent Police announced the closure on their social media accounts.

A spokesman said: "Officers are dealing with a cow on the M4 westbound by the Prince of Wales bridge and the road is closed at this time."

Many on social media have seen the humour in the situation, commenting how the cow has caused "udder chaos".

The cow was seen on a traffic camera along Toll Plaza East, Westbound, at around 8pm.

Police have yet to provide and update on the situation, and what happened to the cow, but the road has since re-opened.
