A cow is running loose on the A77 at Kilmarnock, it has been reported.
Traffic Scotland say the farmyard animal is currently running northbound on the southbound carriageway in the region's biggest road.
The Twitter account for the trunk road traffic urged drivers to "mooo-ve over" if they happen to see it.
Police are understood to be heading to the scene.
