Cow goes for a ride on waterslide after running away from slaughterhouse fate

A brazen cow who had been pegged for a slaughterhouse, made an unlikely dash for freedom, bolting from a cattle ranch into a nearby water park.

Once inside, the cow was said to have climbed the stairs of a waterslide and slowly slid down into the pool.

While it had originally managed to evade death by getting off the ranch, the animal risked collapsing the structure supporting the slide as it awkwardly trotted down on its knees.

The slide, designed to hold just 450 pounds, held firm under the cow’s roughly 700 pound weight, according to the Metro.

The animal appears to be soaking up the sun after its bizarre escape, and at one point takes a moment to stare at the cameraman in the empty water park.

The animal’s attempted escape had a happy ending, some 500 miles west of Rio de Jainero, where the ranch owner adopted it.

The cow’s new owner named it Tobogã - which stands for slide, in Portuguese.

According to IHeartRadio reports , the cow was now to become a family pet.

Brazil is the largest exporter of beef in the world, which dramatically increases its emission levels and deforestation.

It’s not the first time cows have made a dash in an attempt to avoid a slaughterhouse.

In June of this year, at least four people were injured in Bolivia when the animals ran wild following an escape from a crashed van bound for an abattoir.
