HYDERABAD: The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases dropped to 2.99% following a surge in the recovery rate.
Telangana recorded 2,646 cases and 3,603 recoveries across the state on Wednesday.
With the rise in recovery rate, the number of active cases across the state dropped to 34,665 and the total number of cases jumped to 7.69 lakh.
The death toll rose to 4,094 after the state recorded three Covid-19 fatalities.
Of the 2,646 cases, 747 were recorded in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits followed by 177 in Medchal-Malkajgiri and 134 in Rangareddy districts.
The rise in recoveries pushed the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic to 7,30,648.
The case fatality rate also dropped to 0.53% and the recovery rate increased to 94.96%.
At 114 Covid-19 cases, Hanamkonda was among the districts that recorded a high number of cases followed by 102 at Karimnagar, 87 at Siddipet, 86 at Nalgonda, 78 at Mahbubnagar among others.
