A mother-of-four who posted anti-vaccine pictures and slogans on social media has died from coronavirus.
Kristen Lowery, 40, was said to have ‘unexpectedly’ passed away on September 15 after a short battle with the deadly virus.
On one of her social media profiles, Lowery posted that she was ‘unmasked, unmuzzled, unvaccinated, unafraid’ with her family later confirming on the same profile that Kristen was ‘in hospital fighting for her life against Covid and pneumonia.’
Since her death Lowery’s Facebook profile has been changed to private setting after her family confirmed her death, which prompted some Facebook users to criticise the mum for not getting the vaccine or wearing a mask.
In another post the American from Escalon, California, called herself a ‘free thinker’ and said ‘together we win.’
In one image she can be seen holding up a placard that reads ‘give a voice to the vaccine injured.’
When Kristen was battling covid in hospital her sister Cassie posted: “My sister has a long life left. We need you here, sissy. Your kids love and miss you so much. Please don’t give up.”
She also said that it wasn’t ‘political’ and she was not interested in hearing anyone else’s opinions on vaccines, according to Mirror Online.
Then, last week, two family members posted on the social media platform that she had ‘died from Covid,’ as her aunt mourned that her ‘heart is breaking for her 4 kids’ the Mail Online reports.
She wrote: “So many people need her here, but God must have special plans for her in heaven.”
Following her death last week she leaves behind four children.
The case attracted a number of comments on social media, responding via Facebook.
One person wrote: “Why don’t people understand the importance of vaccines for everyone?”
Another said: “I have very little sympathy these days for people who choose not to get the vaccine and wear a mask.”
