A vaccine clinic will reopen tomorrow after being closed for two days due to a low number of bookings.
The clinic at the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr will reopen on Saturday for residents to roll up their sleeves.
A drop-in will also be available on Saturday for Ayr residents with a drop-in clinic also open in Troon’s Walker Hall on Sunday.
Jabs were axed across Thursday and Friday with dozens of empty appointment slots.
Health officials say the impacted appointments have been rescheduled for Saturday and clinics taking place into next week.
Lynne McNiven, public health director for NHS Ayrshire & Arran said: “This decision was taken as only small numbers had booked on to the clinics and the venue is also hosting vaccinations on 12 and 15 January, allowing the reschedule of impacted appointments.
“We apologise to everyone affected for any inconvenience caused.
“Ayr residents seeking a COVID-19 vaccination on a drop-in basis can do so at the Citadel on Saturday, January 15 or Walker Hall in Troon on Sunday, January 16.
“Thank you to everyone coming forward for their vaccinations and supporting this important public health programme.”
