Covid vaccine calculator shows when you will get jab after 'big boost in supply'

Millions more adults are edging closer to being vaccinated after the Government last week invited over 56s to book appointments - but when will you get yours?

More than 23 million Brits having now received their first dose with Downing Street rolled out plans for phase two of the roll out at the end of last month.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has committed to inoculating all over 50s with at least one dose by April 15 and the country's entire adult population by July 31.

He said more than nine in 10 of those aged 65 and over and nearly nine in 10 people who are clinically extremely vulnerable have received a first dose.

With the jab uptake exceeding the Government's initial predictions and the infection rate continuing to dip, Boris Johnson's roadmap to lifting restrictions started on Monday as schools re-opened across England.

It comes following reports a surge of 10 million extra doses could be available and see over-30s getting their Covid jabs earlier than expected.

From next week a big boost in supply will see a "rapid increase" in the number of people getting vaccinated after a "dip" at the end of February, Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi said.

While Public Health England figures show more than a third of the population has Covid-fighting anti-bodies from either having been infected or vaccinated.

As reported, coronavirus death rates halved in February in an "encouraging" reduction, according to PHE figures released this week.

The latest data from the government body shows last month there were 15,943 Covid-19 related deaths in England, which gives a rate of 42.4 deaths per 100,000 people.

This is a reduction compared to January which saw 33,241 Covid-19 related deaths - a rate of 88.3 deaths per 100,000 people.

The phase one list is as follows, in order of priority

1) Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers

2) All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers

3) All those 75 years of age and over
