COVID updates: Every state and territory's coronavirus numbers in one place

Here's a quick wrap of every jurisdiction's COVID-19 statistics from Friday, March 18.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded nine further COVID-19 deaths.

There are 199 COVID-19 cases in hospital, with 23 of those in intensive care. 

The state recorded 9,036 new cases today. 

NSW

Another six COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the state. 

NSW has 1,060 cases in hospital, with 32 of those in intensive care. 

There were 20,050 new cases today. 

Tasmania

The state has recorded no new COVID deaths. 

There are currently 23 cases in hospital, but Tasmania's Department of Heath says only five of those are being treated specifically for COVID-19 symptoms. 

Of those in hospital, three are in intensive care. 

There were 1,779 new cases today. 

Tasmania has reached its highest number of active cases since the pandemic started, with today's figure of 9,105 surpassing the January peak of 8,764 cases.

ACT 

There were no new deaths in the ACT overnight. 

There are 37 people in hospital with the virus, including four in intensive care, with one requiring ventilation.

The ACT has recorded 1,123 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

Queensland

There have been 11 new COVID-19 deaths reported. 

Of the 245 cases in hospital, 20 are in intensive care.

There were 6,103 new cases.

Western Australia

WA has recorded no new COVID-19 deaths.

There were 6,176 new infections reported in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

There are now 33,101 active cases in the state.

There are 134 cases in hospital, including four in ICU.

South Australia

Three people have died with COVID-19 in South Australia, with the state recording another 4,274 cases.

There are 136 patients in hospital, including five in intensive care. Three are on ventilators.

There are now 21,651 active cases in the state. 

Northern Territory

The Territory has recorded no new COVID-19 deaths. There were 258 new cases reported on Friday.

Twenty-one patients are in hospital, with one in ICU and five requiring oxygen.

The NT has 1,527 active cases.
