Most recently, France has announced that only if you have a compelling reason are people from Britain allowed to enter. This has thrown ski resorts, who rely on British customers, into chaos.

As Birmingham Live reports, in the Netherlands, Brits must quarantine for TEN days.

In Qatar, UK travellers must quarantine for two - but also must be double jabbed.

Other countries have more complex rules. South Korea requires visitors to enter with a mix of double doses of the vaccine needed, as well as quarantine on arrival, and special permission for travel.

With the wave of Omicron, France has now tightened their borders to UK visitors.

Under the new rules brought in due to the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant, UK citizens now need a "compelling reason" to enter France, with trips for tourism or business banned.

Hauliers, transport workers and French nationals are exempt from the new rules.
