COVID testing sites at capacity, Canberrans told to come back Thursday

ACT Health has asked Canberrans to wait until Thursday to get a COVID-19 test, with sites across the territory at capacity.

"We're experiencing a high demand for COVID-19 testing this week," ACT Health posted to social media.

"This is expected to continue in the coming days. Please continue to be kind, respectful and courteous to staff at the testing clinics who are here to help you. Being aggressive towards them doesn't help your care."

The EPIC testing clinic will close on Friday, December 17 at 10pm. It will be replaced by a new drive-through site in Mitchell, which will open on Saturday, December 18.

Drive Through COVID-19 Testing at Kambah

  • Open 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
  • For people aged five years and over

Drive Through COVID-19 Testing at EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra)

  • Open 8am to 10pm, Monday to Friday
  • For people aged five years and over

Testing Clinic at Nicholls

  • Open 8am to 3.50pm, Monday to Friday
  • For all ages
  • Will be closed from 25 December 2021 to 3 January 2022.

Surge Centre at Garran

  • Open 7.30am to 9pm, Monday to Friday
  • For any ages

Winnunga Nimmityjah Respiratory Clinic

  • Culturally appropriate assessment and testing centre for First Nations people and existing clients of Winnunga
  • Open 9.30am to 1pm, Monday to Friday
  • And 2pm to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
  • For all ages

Capital Pathology Holt

  • Open 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
  • Closed on public holidays

Respiratory Clinic at YourGP@Crace

  • Open 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • And 10am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday
  • Requires an appointment

Lakeview Respiratory Clinic

  • Open 9am to 12pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
  • And 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Thursday
  • And 8.30am to 5pm, Saturday
  • And 10am to 3pm, Sunday
  • Closed on Public Holidays
  • Requires an appointment
