Staff are being sought to help with Covid testing in secondary schools in south Liverpool.
Candidates are needed who are available at the start of the new term in January 2022.
The Covid testing staff will start working from January 5 on a part-time ad hoc temporary basis in the south Liverpool area (Toxteth, Aigburth, Woolton, Childwall, Gateacre, Speke).

To be a covid tester you will need at least a grade C in Maths and English and preferably be computer literate as you will need to complete online training.
The role of the Covid Tester involves swabbing secondary aged students to test for Covid-19 and full training will be given. The pay is £65 to £70 per day.
Teaching recruitment firm Tradewind said "committed and empathetic individuals" were being sought who could work hours between 8am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Candidates will also need to be fast learners who can take direction and follow strict guidelines and policies.
Experience of working with young people is preferred but not essential. Due to testers being required to be ready to start by January 5, applications can only be considered from staff who have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service, or are willing to process a new one.
The schools offer onsite parking and are easy to get to via public transport and easy commute if you are in the Liverpool area.
The work would suit Teaching Assistants, Nursery nurses, youth workers or any other individual with experience of working with young people, although this isn't essential.
