Covid test centres available in Falkirk throughout festive season

Covid test centres in Falkirk are open throughout the festive season.

Those with no Covid-19 symptoms can take a Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test at Falkirk Stadium and Howgate Shopping Centre.

Testing will be available from 2pm till 6pm between Tuesday, December 28 and Friday, December 31, at the football grounds.

However, on New Year's Eve this will change to an earlier time, beginning at 10am and lasting up until 3pm.

Meanwhile, at the shopping centre, testing will be between 1pm to 5pm from Tuesday, December 28 to Friday, December 31.

Both locations will then close for New Year's between Saturday, January 1 and Monday, January 3.

However, Falkirk Stadium will reopen the following day and testing will be available from 10am - 5pm then and the next day.

Howgate Shopping Centre will reopen for testing at 1pm on Wednesday, January 5 until 7.30pm that evening.

Alternatively, home testing kits can be picked up as well as at Polmont Sports Centre, Falkirk Community Hospital and pharmacies.

There are also two Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test sites in the Falkirk area at Abbotsford House and Bo'ness Recreation Centre.

PCR tests are mainly for people who have COVID-19 symptoms or have been identified as a close contact through Test and Protect.

An appointment needs to be made to get tested at either of the PCR test sites.
