Mobile testing units for COVID-19 are to spring up across South Ayrshire next week.
Seven pop-up sites will operate in Ayr, Ballantrae, Coylton, Girvan, Maybole and Tarbolton.
Tests must be booked in advance at: https://www.nhsinform.scot/test-and-protect or by calling 0800 028 2816.
You should only book a test if you have coronavirus symptoms (a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste).
The centres will operate as follows:
- Quay Zone Car Park, Knockcushan Street, Girvan – Monday, March 29 from 10am to 6pm
- John Pollock Centre Car Park, Mainholm Road, Ayr – Tuesday, March 30 from 10am to 6pm
- Tarbolton Community Centre Car Park, Montgomerie Road, Tarbolton – Wednesday, March 31 from 10am to 6pm
- Coylton Activity Centre Car Park, Hole Road, Coylton – Thursday, April 1 from 10am to 6pm
- Ballantrae Shorefront Car Park, Foreland, Ballantrae – Friday, April 2 from 10am to 6pm
- Carrick Academy Car Park, Kirkoswald Road, Maybole – Saturday, April 3 from 10am to 6pm
- Queen Margaret Academy Bus Parking Area fronting the school, Dalmellington Road, Ayr – Sunday, April 4 from 10am to 6pm
Results from the tests should be available within 24 hours.

Anyone testing positive will be contacted by NHS Scotland tracers.
Further sites across South Ayrshire are currently being considered as additional mobile testing locations with updates to be provided in due course.
